The temple is located about two kilometres southeast of Ubud.It was rediscovered by Dutch archaeologists in 1923.Goa gajah means elephant cave,but there were never any elephants on Bali.The cave probably takes its name from the face over the cave entrance might resemble an elephant or perhaps takes from the nearby Sungai Petanu,which at one time was known as Elephant River.The cave is carved into a rock face and you enter through the cavernous mouth of a demon.The gigantic fingertips pressed beside the face of the demon push back a riotous jungle of surrounding stone carvings.Inside the T-shaped cave you can see fragmentary remains of the lingam,the phallic symbol of Hindu god Shiva,and its female counterpart the yoni,and statue of Shiva’s son,th elephant-headed Ganesha.

Museum Le Mayeur Appreciate Bali Renaissance of 1930's
Adrien Jean Le Mayeur De Merpes arrived on Bali in 1932 and stayed at first near Denpasar,where he met Ni Polok,renowned as a beautiful Legong dancer,who began to model for him.He soon fell in love with the island and with her,and they married.Then they built a house, which Le Mayeur decorated with woodcarvings and antique stones collected from across Bali.This Belgian artist,Le Mayeur (1880-1958) lived in the house from 1935 until his death,when sanur was still a quiet fishing village.On his death,he willed the house to the Indonesian government to become a museum.Le Mayeur paintings are displayed inside the museum.Paintings from his early period on Bali are romantic depictions of Balinese daily life and beautiful Balinese women,and also paintings from his travels in a great different countries as France,Italy,Africa,India and others.

Bali Botanical Garden Wild orchis that blooms all over on vast site
Coming north from Bedugul,at a junction conspicuously marked with a large phallic corncop sculpture.established in 1959 as a branch of the national botanical gardens at Bogor,near Jakarta,they cover over 120 hectares on lower slopes of Mount Pohen and boasts an extensive collection of wild orchids,some plants are labeled with their botanical names.The gardens are cool,shady and scenic.

Bali Bird Park
Bird Park See beautiful tropical birds
Opened in 1995,the bird park boasts more than 1000 birds from over 250 species including rare birds of paradise from Irian Jaya and highly endangered Bali starlings, many which are housed in special walk-through aviaries.The two hectares of landscaped gardens feature a fine collection of tropical plants, and couple of komodo dragons.Next door,Rimba Reptil Park has about 20 species of creatures from Indonesia and Africa,as well as more komodo dragons, crocodiles and python.

Monkey Forest experience of feed wild monkey
The forest, officially called Mandala Wisata Wanara Wana,wanara means monkey or ape and wana means forest or jungle.At the southern end of monkey forest,houses three holy temples.The sanctuary is inhabited by a band of greedy long-tailed and grey-haired Balinese monkeys.The monkeys have been known to bite if provoked,and you should definitely not hand food directly to the less than endearing creatures.The interesting Pura Dalem Agung is in the forest.

About 90km north of Denpasar.The path to waterfall is lined with souvenir stalls,and persistent guides offer their services.The 40m waterfalls are quite pretty,and great place for a picnic,about 2km further up the hill,Gitgit multi-tier waterfall is about 600m off the western side of the main road,by a small side track then a good walking path.The path crosses a narrow bridge and follows the river up pass several sets of waterfalls,through verdant jungle and with several places to swim.
