Comprehensive complex of Bali art in the rice field
ARMA Museum (The Agung Rai Museum of Art)was officially opened by the Indonesian Minister for Education and Culture, Prof. Dr, Ing. Wardiman Djojonegoro on 9 June 1996. The museum is administered by the ARMA Foundation which was set up on 13 May 1996. ARMA is beyond a normal museum, but it is the hot spots of visual art and performance art. They offer various chances for visitors, such as exhibition of drawings, the special exhibition, play, dance, music, drawing class, workshop, library, meeting and seminar room, etc. They always hold the exhibition from arts of the ARMA Foundation own and Agung Rai own, so you can see wide range of arts from traditional drawing to contemporary. Moreover, on ARMA open stage, the dance performance is held on Saturday, Sunday, the day of new moon and full moon. Especially, Kecak Dance is performed only on the day of new moon and full moon is really dynamic!
