Water Palace along with the quiet village on the sea
Taman Ujung locates in the quiet village, 5km south from Karangasem. The name of the village is Tumpu, and there is remain of Water Palace. The palace was built in 1920 as the resting place and guest house. Mount Agung erupted in 1960 and 1979, so it has damaged by the eruptions, however, it still remains the figure of old time. There are 3 ponds and 2 bridges over the middle pond that is connected to the main palace. The curving and stone walls next to the ponds are designed as mixed Bali and European style. On the west hill of the palace, there is the round shape building that is called “Bale Bengong.” From there to east, you can the green hill and the view of rice field. On the other side, to south, it is the broad blue ocean view. This place is still unknown place in Bali and beautiful place. Please visit there once!
