Bali Aga’s village famous for Ata products and Ikat
Teganan Village near Candidasa in the east Bali is famous for the village where native Balinese “Bali Aga” is living. Old fashion Bali Hinduism people are living and always wear Balinese ethnic clothes. The culture of Teganan is different comparing with other Bali Hinduism. In Tenganan Village, there is no social class. But, there is the village headman. People in this village are prohibited to get married with people in other village. If married, the person never comes back to the village. The main job other than farming is making fabric, Ikat of Tenganan, which is famous as the best product in Bali. Ata products are also famous and the original product. Men are farming and women are making Ikat and Ata products.
